If your crew dept. is not listed here - you get some time off! or to work at home:) There are some of you that I've told I will contact: sound techs, paper props, etc. with what to start working on.
Please Note: Some of the crew departments - shoes, make up, accessories, and hats are waiting on other departments to before moving forward.

I hope this helps you all plan the next two weeks!

Actors/Actresses - remember to get your lines memorized! After these two practices your script will not be in hand!!!

This is an exciting opportunity to portray real people and real stories! The more research I do the more I learn about the times and continue to come to understand the seriousness of each struggle. It's amazing that we have been called to reenact these strong people overcoming with prayer because they had faith in God.

Have a great rest of your week!

Peanut/Nut Allergy

Hello Cast, Crew, & Parents!

One of our cast members, Tirzah Schmickle has a Peanut Allergy (this allergy also very likely includes Tree Nuts).

Please refrain from bringing Peanuts or products with peanuts as ingredients (ex. peanut butter, trail mix, granola bars, etc.) to H.I.S. Players functions.

If you do eat items with ANY type of nuts, whether in the car or at a H.I.S. Players functions - WASH YOUR HANDS.

If in the car - use Hand Sanitizer before entering the building.

Hand Wipes will be available at practices to help with hand washing during break time.

For Break Time: You are welcome to bring small coolers with ice packs to hold cheese, hummus, etc.

Bio Pictures!!!

On Monday - you will have your picture taken for the bio board!!!

Be sure to . . .

1. wear a shirt that does NOT have graphics, logos, or writing.

2. do NOT wear a hat.

3. Smile

(Pictures will be taken of Cast Members, Crew Members, Directors, and Adult Leaders)

To prepare for the Read Through _ Jan. 22nd

All students will attend the practice on January 22nd. This will be our Read Through. We will take turns walking/reading through the script!!! It will be a fun time of getting to know each actor/actress and the role(s) they play!

For the CAST -

Read through the script! Review your role(s). Pay special attention to your scene(s). Jot down notes or questions as you read!

For the CREW -

You will be able to take this opportunity to hear the script being read, get familiar with who plays which character and begin to see distance between certain scenes etc.

Hair - (Maggie & Lydia), I plan to have pictures (maybe some and not all) of hair styles that I envision for the characters. You can follow along in the script, watching the actors, and looking at the pictures. This way you get to know who's who and can jot notes next to the pictures about possibilities and style techniques etc.

Sound - (Timothy G. & Jacob), you guys will follow along in your script (mark, highlight, and make notations) as we go along. You will need to verbally remind us of sound effects as we work through the script (say what the sound is or announce what song will be played). Remember to keep an eye open for cues (what comes before the sound effect or music).

Video - Jonathan, you will be able to practice with the camera and get familiar with the scenes and who acts in them.

Props - No props will be used on Monday - however pay attention as you follow along.

Shoes & Costumes - (Julia & Katrina), this is a great opportunity to get to know names and faces along with the characters they play and what scene they belong in. You can write down notes as needed. Mrs. Yogerst has the costume binder with pictures for each scene.

Looking forward to Monday's practice and getting to know all of you!
