Bio Reminder
H.I.S. Players Biography Board
Mrs. Talbot gave out information on Monday the 26th and as you weren't all there to receive it I am posting it here. We will also have extra copies at future practices.
All students both cast and crew members as well as leadership are to complete a bio.
Director Jennie
Thank you all for taking the time to write your biography to be displayed at the shows!
This is an opportunity to share information about yourself and your part in this play, like:
~Your Name
~Age or grade
~What part you play in the show
~How many years you've been a part of H.I.S. Players
~Other theater experience
~Something you like about being a part of the play
~Other personal interests you might have
Please remember to make the paragraph in third person (using "he" and "she" - not "I" or "me".)
And remember to respect the 100 word maximum!
The deadline to submit your biography is APRIL 2, 2018
Please email your work with "HIS Bio Board" in the subject line to k8talbot04@outlook.com
I will check your work and respond with any needed revisions.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this play. It is exciting that we all get to be a part of this opportunity!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Talbot

Monday March 26
We had a great practice on Monday! The voice recordings went very well and sound wonderful! I'm excited to hear them during the show! Thank you sound guys and voices for your time and effort!
We are gearing up for another practice of "Prayer of the Patriot"!!!!
~The poster art is getting finished up soon! Be considering if you want to purchase a T-shirt! The design and details will be out as soon as it is available.
~Your Bios are due Monday April 2nd. Let's get them finished up and emailed to Mrs. Talbot!
~PROPS - NEEDED
- an old looking hammer with a wooded handle
- a pair of crutches
- picture frame with sports decor around the edges
- plastic gun from Gierachs (please bring it to practice when it is fixed)
- brown desk chair from Garlands (yes, we would like to use your chair)
After our last practice, one of the Kettlebrook pastors asked to speak with me. I need to share with you a few things that he discussed with me.
We need to remember that the Church and the Seniors use the building permanently- we are there temporarily using the space.
He expressed to me that the noise level in the hallway is too loud. If we (adults and students) continue to be loud, and disturb the Senior groups or the Church workers - we could loose our privilege to use the hallway.
I told him we would have a NEW PLAN. 1. We will only have up to 6 students in the hallway at a time. 2. Those in the hallway are to eat their snack standing up, and return to the sanctuary.
He also wanted me to remind each of you (adults and students) that when the church offices are open they could be having meetings, counseling, etc. Please keep in mind that the people attending could be having confidential conversations - allow them the right of way in the halls and privacy.
Thank you!
I am noticing that much of our practice time is going toward moving chairs, unloading the trailer, and setting up! I'm sure you are feeling that as well.
Now that many of us have been in the facility for at least a week or two, we could start moving the chairs and unloading the trailer BEFORE our meeting and devotional time!
If any of you are available to arrive by 12:30 PM for March 26th and April 2nd - please email me!
We need students to tape off and move the chairs, as well as students to unload the trailer. I will respond to you by email if we have enough students to arrive by 12:30 PM! Thank you!
FYI - April 9 through April 20 we begin practices at 12:30 PM instead of 1:00 PM and go until 5:00 PM instead of 4:30 PM.
REMEMBER to hold the performance week OPEN April 23 through 28. Schedules and details are coming.

Monday the 19th
Welcome back those of you who were at Nationals! I hope your week was fun and a good experience as you gloried God on the court or in the stands!
Here are the plans for Monday the 19th.
Remember we are now located at Kettlebrook Church (West Bend). This is the old North Pick n' Save building.
Thank you to all of you students who worked so hard moving our props etc. out of the trailer, across the parking lot, and back again. I am so thankful for your cooperative attitudes!
NEWS for you! Read all about it:)
The Threshold Incorporated (building next door) who oversees the parking lot asked us to move the trailer. Yes, closer - but pay attention! The trailer is now parked behind the building by the church's rear entrance. (No we will not park in back - continue to park your vehicles far out in front- thank you). Okay, the trailer is in the back, by the church door. Items will need to be brought through four single doorways as well as short hallways before entering the sanctuary. We can do this! It will mean having door holders and select students to carry items carefully, quietly, and slowly through the doorways. We will be near the church offices and meeting rooms so quiet and respectful is key. Slowly and carefully is because the halls and doorways are narrower than what we did last week. Select students because a two way street with large items will be tricky and we can't cause traffic jams!
Reminder - again we will need to work together to move the chairs back to create space. Painters tape will be used to mark where they need to go back.
Who is coming and what are we doing???

Tim G. - Sound
Jacob - Sound

Further Important News
I hope you all have been enjoying this sunny day!
Here are the further notes I have about our move!!!
- Director Jennie
PARKING-
When you arrive at Kettlebrook be sure to park the farthest out in the lot. (yes, you can park closer to the building than our trailer). Please save the closest spaces for the Senior Center, Kettlebrook, and other businesses.
SENIOR CENTER -
Kettlebrook Church and the West Bend Senior Center are located in the same building! Be sure to be friendly, respectful, and quiet! They have various activities that they will be participating in in the lobby area right outside the sanctuary (where we will be practicing).
THE SANCTUARY (also called The Gathering Room)
This is the room we will be using for practices/dress rehearsals. There are no other rooms beside this one for our use. We will NOT be using the church sound equipment! Do not wander around the building or touch items that do not belong to H.I.S. Players or yourself. We will not be using the stage!
RESTROOMS
We are to use the restrooms in the hallway - do not use any other or wander off in search of others. (The senior groups have restrooms near the front of the building but we will not be using those.) Please note: the church offices are near these restrooms.
SNACKS
NO food is allowed in the Sanctuary! We will allow snack breaks. Food will need to be eaten in the hallway by the restrooms! Remember to clean up after yourself, keep your voices down, and not clog the hallway. Please note: the church offices are at the end of this hallway.
TOMORROW
When you arrive you are to meet in the Sanctuary at 1:00PM!!!
Instructions and Directions will be given.
Then we will work together to unload the trailer.
And then we will get to practicing.
After practice we will work together to reload the trailer.

March 5th Practice
I am looking to practice many scenes on March 5th! It will be a busy practice but we will get a lot in before some of you are out of state for Nationals!!!
LINES MEMORIZED! NO SCRIPTS IN HAND DURING THE SCENE!
9/11 Characters - The scenes I have selected to practice don't all run back to back! I would like the four of you to take a week off. Tim F. I understand you will also be off for Nationals. Please take the time to get to your lines down well - and brainstorm ideas for actions etc. (make sure you know the lines before yours (cue lines or sound)). After the week of Nationals I feel that we will have more props, we will run scenes in correct order, add sound effects, and maybe even have the set up! All of these things effect your characters and will certainly be a big help!!! Thank you!
So, Who is Coming????
Those in - - - -
The Pilgrim Scene
Jonathan Edwards Scene
Frances Willard Scene
Newspaper Scene
Mississippi Burning Case/Civil Rights Workers Scene
Columbine
Crew Members
Ella - Stage Manager
Maggie/Lydia - Hair
Titus/Elisa - Props
Julia - Shoes
Katrina - Costumes
Anea & Hailey will be at practice (continue with hats, etc.)
Jonathan - Video Taping
Please be ON TIME or EARLY - BE ON TASK and ready to go! There is a lot to cover - your cooperation with being ready when called for a scene, costume try on, etc. will make this practice run smoothly! You CAN do it!!!
Thank you! I am looking forward to our practice!!!
